We have beach cookouts and it gets pretty windy.** A: No they are not heavy at all. Not sure how they stand up to the wind. They were only used indoors. **Q: How large is the interior area? Will it cover a 16” by 40” painting?** A: I put the tent cover over two framed pictures that are both 17"x22"... guessing coverage is at least 24-27"x36-46" length on sides and with a dome about 17-18" high.
