It is 0.045" (1.2 mm) thick with a diameter of 1 1/4" (32.0 mm) 5 per package. Ideal for cutting, grooving and trimming all kinds of materials--including metal, wood and ceramics. You can use it to cut screws and rusted bolts, make slots in screw heads, trim castings and more.

Review: Durable; long lasting; genuine Dremel - First, I'll note that I received genuine Dremel brand cut off wheels. Some reviews indicate otherwise, but these are genuine with proper markings in a genuine package. I've had good luck with these. The reinforcement means that they don't break when you accidentally lean a little to the side when cutting something thick. That's a real feature compared to the ones that are just abrasive disks, even the thicker abrasive disks. You can run these right down to where they are too small in diameter to use i.e. around 10mm diameter and I doubt you'll break one. I find them very useful for cutting nuts and bolts, etc. Note that these are not a replacement for a large grinder with a 4" wheel. They are not for cutting 4' of sheet metal. They're for semi precision work. Things like cutting a nut off around a stud or bolt and leaving the bolt mostly untouched. Maybe cutting some smaller diameter screws to length. They're not inexpensive, but they will save you one day and they will be worth every penny.

**Q: Anybody know the number(s) of the thickest (most heavy duty) dremel type cutoff wheel(s) are? Even the shorter diameter ones.**
A: Hello,
The thickest cut-off wheel we provide is .0625 (1.6 mm) and is part #540.  The next thickest would be part numbers 426,456,506CU,EZ426,EZ456 and EZ476.  These are all .045 thickness (1.1 mm).  Hope this helps and have a great day!

**Q: Can it be used for cutting plywood, does it leave clean edges?**
A: You can cut plywood.  I do so when cutting model airplane parts from 1/16 - 1/4" birch plywood.  To prevent 'fraying' around your cuts, first lay down masking tape over your projected cut line.

**Q: Do these have a longer life or more durable than the Dremel #426 fiberglass reinforced cut offwheels . I usually use for cutting small screws and bolt**
A: The 426 will be more durable and have a longer life. That is what the fiberglass does.

**Q: What diameter size are these cut off wheels and can it be used for a drill Master rotary tool?**
A: There15/16” diameter.. 25 thousandths “ thick.. 1/8” hole in center.. any high speed cut off tool these will work.. the 409 are THIN.. 406 ate a bit thicker.
