Here's why... *by Z***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2016* For those who have provided negative feedback on this case, everyone can have a different experience with smartphone cases and having various opinions allows the rest of us Amazon users to determine if this product is a good fit for our needs. However, if your negative feedback is because you dropped your phone and the screen cracked, then you probably should just go with an Otterbox. Don't blame a product with a bad review that doesn't claim to protect the screen - this is a wallet case! There is no part of the description indicating it will protect your phone's screen.I have bought many KAVAJ cases at this point. Some for my personal smartphones and some for friends and family. The build quality on every case has been near perfect. It arrives to you packaged very nicely and has that sweet smell of leather when you take it out of the tissue paper wrapping. It definitely gives off a vibe of quality for a really affordable price point.The iPhone 6/6s fits snuggly in the case. It doesn't feel like it could fall out and requires a bit of effort to remove it if you wanted to. It wraps around the corners which can perhaps save a scratch or dent on those corners, if you were to drop it. The open cutouts over the buttons, ports, and switches, make it easy to use your phone as if the case wasn't even there. I have had other cases where I need to dig into a hole or lift a flap to get to them. Not fun if all you want to do is switch to vibrate mode. KAVAJ was intelligent in providing this design if you desire your case to be about convenience and not protection.The sleeves for cards are initially very tight. Getting two cards in takes a little work, but after a few days, the leather breaks in a bit and getting the cards in and out becomes fairly simple. Make no mistake, 2 credit card sized items is about all you will be able to fit in there. This is not a full-blown wallet replacement. For me, my drivers license and credit card are the perfect combo for those times I want to carry minimal items with me. I can see some people might want to carry more, but that is not what the case is designed to hold.I am currently using the black case on my Space Grey iPhone 6s. I have had the cognac case in the past and it shows too much dirt for my liking as you wear it in. Some people like the distressed/dirty leather look, but I do not. The black case has not gone down that path at this point for me, so I am very satisfied with the lack of wear and tear I have seen. My phone goes in both my front and back pockets all day and I am constantly taking it out and putting it back in. For those who are seeing the edges wear or the seams break, I am not sure what you are doing differently than me with your phone, but I certainly have not seen anything like that.The KAVAJ logo is engraved into the back of the case and I can understand that some people don't like it. For me, I am so happy with this case, I don't mind advertising.All in all, this is the best case I have ever owned for any smartphone and probably my favorite purchase ever on Amazon. In my OCD-like search for the perfect case for me, I have tried many different wallet cases and leather cases. I've noticed after a few weeks of use that the phone case is no longer the same color as the iPad case, either due to dye from jeans pockets or just more hand contact. I'm ok with that though. Leather is a natural product so it will gain character over time. I was going to run the iPhone 6 naked with only a screen protector but the brushed aluminum back is so smooth and slippery that it seemed extremely easy to drop so I started looking into a case. I'm not too worried about protecting the phone from a drop I just want it to look good. Bulky rubber cases are gross. When I realized Kavaj already had a case available for the 6 I was very happy because of how nice their ipad case is (I think it's the Berlin I have). This Tokyo case has two slots for cards. I put my drivers license and one credit card in and don't even bring a wallet most times now. I keep my other cards in the car in case I need them for some reason. I take photos of like medical insurance or car insurance cards on my phone and store them in a special folder so I don't have to carry those. The I phone 6 is so thin the two cards on the case are barely noticeable. It's a great setup for the minimalist. Your pockets will be happy :)The leather is legit and appears of good quality. I'm not a leather expert but I appreciate well made products and this product fits the bill. The leather is a finish on a pretty typical hard plastic case. Just very we'll done in my opinion. The back is thick enough to protect the camera lens that sticks out. The inside of the case is also very nice. It's soft and smooth to protect the original finish. I've had cases in the past that if dirt gets under the case it scratches the phone up from inside the case. I recently purchased the iPhone 6 and noticed that it is pretty slick to the touch - I am afraid I will drop it. I initially purchased and then returned an otterbox - the thing is HUGE and makes the phone large and bulky - plus I did not have good access to the charging port, side buttons, etc and the screen was not as touch sensitive as it should be with that case.Then, I found this case. It is perfect....Pros:- You have full access to the bottom of the phone, so you can use this case on your phone and still use the phone with speaker docks, various charging cables and other accesseries- You also have total access to the buttons on the side of the phone. I love this. I do not like it when the buttons on the side are covered with some sort of rubber, etc because it makes it difficult to push the buttons. This case allows full access to the actual buttons.- Real leather. No further comment here - it is great!- Looks classy, simple and clean. Thin case, not bulky.- The price is amazing for the quality.- it has a firm grip on the phone, but not so firm that you have to break the thing to remove it.- the credit card pockets on the back are super handy.Cons:- This will not protect the phone like an otterbox will if you drop it, but honestly, if you want a sleek thin case, you will never get the protection of the bulky cases. This does however, provide better gripping for the new iphone so the chances of dropping it are less.
