Review: BenQ projectors really deliver a great picture - I’ve been reading reviews about lamps overheating. I only one time bought an equivalent lamp suitable for the projector and within an hours use I noticed the lamp was severely overheating and also trying out 3D content, it wouldn’t hold so I returned this to desertcart who kindly refunded the full cost snd I bought the more expensive BenQ lamp which works so well, it’s worth the extra cash. As a cinema projectionist, I’d say BenQ is a system that really does project an image onto a large home cinema room screen, to match the best of any 4K imax laser projector in a cinema. The BenQ projector is easy to set up and will require altering to ensure you get the best quality picture quality depending on your room situation. As my room is fully darkened, I’ve reduced the setting which in turn extends the lamp life, lowers the fan noise which is extremely quiet. I’ve posted 2 photos to show the exceptional picture quality and the room set up which is required to get this picture quality however the projector will happily run with ambient light and if this is the case, a grey screen would be best. My screen with the room being dark is a silver grey screen which cinemas have. DLP projectors don’t ideally work well on a white screen.
Review: Decided to keep this projector - I was setting up my first projector of my life. I started with other cheaper options, but all of them had a crucial disadvantage, and some minor disadvantage. When I placed other cheaper options at an angle, and used keystone correction to get a rectangular screen, the edges are always out of focus, only the center of the screen is in focus. Also, cheaper options picture quality just cannot be compared to this BenQ projector. BenQ and the other cheaper options all claim to provide native 1080p. When I connect my PC and project it to the screen, all the edges of the characters are blurry on the cheapter options, but not on BenQ. Edges of all fine characters are sharp. Speaker is much louder, overall build quality is also better. I decided to keep this projector because it is worth the extra bucks in my opinion.

**Q: What’s the difference between older model and this?**
A: I found this article www.hifihelper.com/ht2050a-vs-ht2050 helpful for not only listing all the differences, but helping you to understand if those differences would make much of a difference or not. I ended up going with the newer model and I'm glad I did, but now it makes more sense what some of these upgrades do or when they might be useful. Because even though I'm not really taking advantage of them now, they might be helpful in the future and now I feel like I'll be able to get more out of this projector. REALLY awesome projector by the way! Definitely worth spending the money to get one of these over the ones that cost a little less! Hope that helps :)

**Q: Just how dark does a room need to be to use this projector?**
A: It will work even in a well lit room. The projector also has a “Bright” mode that’s even brighter but I think normal mode is fine even in bright light

**Q: Does it do 3d?**
A: Hello, yes this projector will support 3D content.

**Q: How does this look in the day time**
A: It’s a fairly low lumen unit so light must be controlled in order to get the most out of it. Obviously the darker the better.  If needing a projector for daytime use look at a much much higher lumen output unit

Excelente relación precio-desempeño! El mejor de su categoría y al nivel de proyectores más caros. Pensaba comprar uno 4K pero este es más que suficiente para ver películas, series y videojuegos, se ve muy bien en una pared blanca, me genera una imagen de 142”. Mucho mejor que una tele por una fracción del precio. Valió cada centavo!
