Since my training in medical school 20 years ago, we've known that the only way to increase your Human Growth Hormone levels was to inject it directly into the patient. This brings up a lot of ethical issues and of course the FDA prohibits this unless you have an under active pituitary gland. HGH has been the holy grail in anti-aging medicine. I must admit that I have been extremely surprised to find that it does increase levels of somatostatin/ IGF-1 (surrogate markers for growth hormone levels in the body).
