However I did place one in my closet and it worked perfectly - so for the most part it does what it says!The reason for only 3 stars is because they don't stay on the ceiling very well. The adhesive it comes with usually wears out, and time after time I am picking up lights of the floor or screaming watch out to my friends as they come flying off the ceiling.Also I noticed that they burn through batteries really quickly.
