It's advisable to use a safety glove or a carrier for the veg for slicing as it's razor sharp. Stability on the table is not ideal and therefore dexterity will be required when working. I made to further sharpen the vertical knives. These knives are thin and designed to allow you to push whatever you're chopping through. But if you sharpen them, it will be much easier to push through.
