However, once I had it assembled (marked down by 1 star for the faffing about with dodgy threads), up against the wall and holding two bikes, I was much more impressed. I then thought "time will tell" and was wary about erecting this assemblage anywhere someone or something could get hurt if it fails/collapses/falls over. Many weeks later, all of my fears have proven unfounded and the stand continues to provide sterling service. At the time of my writing this review, the stand costs £63. Walls behind will get marked though - Have used this to store two hybrid bikes in a flat for the last three months without incident. Assembly is easy and once up the weight of the bikes holds it in place well, in my case on carpet! The frame itself has padding so does not mark the wall but moving the bikes on and off dedinitely will. My partner struggles to lift their bike onto the higher racks owing to the height.
