**Q: would the bottom ring lie flat on a patio?**
A: yes the bottom ring would lie flat on a patio however in wind it would blow away as the item comes with tent pegs to push into the ground

**Q: Is this good for protecting a gooseberry bush from birds etc.?**
A: Yes I don't see why not.  I use mine over a blueberry bush and it definitely keeps the birds from eating the berries.  The year before I bought it the birds ate the lot while I was away.  I have found it the best thing for protecting fruit.

**Q: i have a blueberry bush in a big square pot, would it work for that?**
A: I've just put up a photograph (16 August) showing my two cages. It should appear shortly after this date.  I have a dwarf blueberry (and cranberry) in the two smaller pots (1 in each cage) about 26 litre pots and I also have dwarf blackberries and raspberries in 40 litre black pots. Plenty of room!

**Q: Are the holes in the netting large enough for bees to get through?**
A: Yes, the holes are big enough for bumble bees and honey bees.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good fruit cage for potted plants or s plant in the garden.

Not the cheapest but not too expensive either. Quite think coated steel tubing so may not last more than half doz years (I silicone sealant filled the joints before making them to try to give it a bit more weather protection). Netting also lightweight (the blackbirds can nudge it to get at some of the outermost fruit). However, very easy to assemble and a decent size too - taller than I expected. The netting you have to carefully expand and lay around or you'll rip it (line an edge up with an upright and then walk it round using the clips as you go). Use the ground pegs too as it will blow over in a strong wind, although they're best just put halfway in the ground.

Good frame easy to assemble, and pretty sturdy the only let down is the netting is just slightly too small for the frame once attached with clips it tears easily but overall a good buy. No birds will eat my crop this year hopefully

I put this together in less than half an hour, and it has effectively guarded my strawberry plants against the thieving pigeons all summer. For ease of harvesting and watering, I made a second opening in the netting (opposite the existing opening), and improvised a few fasteners using velcro strips. Definitely intend to purchase more of these next spring to protect other plants.
