It took me a while to make the connection, and I never had the problem again once I stopped taking Diphenhydramine.I eventually switched to Alteril after being skeptical that an "all natural" one would work for me, but it really did. However, the cost of Alteril was something I couldn't keep up with. I tried these next, and they work just as well, maybe a little better, and are nearly half the price in the store and even cheaper when you Subscribe and Save here. These work within an hour for me, and although I can easily fight them, as long as I make myself lay down I will fall asleep. I don't use this but a friend uses them. He has a really hard time falling asleep and has used just about everything but this seems to be the only thing that works for him.Behavior modification seems to help too...same bed time every night, a dark room with no one reading with a little light or on the internet. You want to do that...leave the room...for the other persons sake. Chronic insomnia has plagued me for several years and I've tried everything on the market. I also use Chelated magnesium too. This combination works. I wake up without the fogginess. I've used prescriptions in the past with awful results.I've tried this stuff by itself but it didn't help but combined with power to sleep which amazon sells and the Chelated magnesium, I usually sleep!!
