I bought this for one of my granddaughters several years ago. She loved all the information so that she felt more comfortable with changes.This book is for my 2nd granddaughter.I suggest this book for the correct information to questions they have.

I gave this book to my daughter 2 years ago when she was 9 so she'd have something concrete to look up information as puberty progressed.  We did a short overview of the topics and I suggested a couple things to look at first. She is an independent girl and has read chapters as needed asking me questions to clarify, give personal examples and confirm what's "normal". Nothing takes the place of being open with your child. But this book has been a good resource so she is armed with useful information when asking questions. Now going on 12 and had her first cycle, it's been smooth sailing

I bought this book to help me address the topic of puberty without making my daughters feel uncomfortable.  This book was amazing.  It gave just the right amount of information to help a young girl understand the changes her body is making without going into too detail.  I also loved that there were comments from other young girls who had gone through or were going through puberty and how they felt.  My daughter and I read this together over the summer.  It was an easy read and she enjoyed learning that everything she was feeling and going through other girls were feeling that way too! Even though she knows that Mommy has gone through puberty, and I can relate, I think it was helpful for her to read it from other young girls experiences as well. I highly recommend this book.  I would even recommend it being used in health classes as a tool for young girls.
