A: The lid diameter is 5 1/2" but the lid opening is 4".  I love my jar and would definitely buy it again.

As many others have stated, the vases are not blue and white but blue and gray, I knew that but thought they were a lighter gray than what they are. They are also not 14" tall, but 12 3/4", if that makes a difference to you, as it does with me. I ordered stands to put them on to make them the height I need.The good news is that they arrived in good condition. Next time I will pay more attention to reviews.
