It is being used by the whole family. It proved to be reliable. We are mostly measuring via ear, however the forehead measuring seems to be accurate too. Make sure the lens is clean (I just wipe it carefully with a piece of cotton t shirt) as a dirty lens will give off false readings.It is really useful to read instructions manual, as it tells how to use the thermometer correctly. Do not remember whether instructions manual came with it, however I easily found one online. I just learned that you can set it to also read surface temperatures up to 100Β°C (did not have a chance to see how accurate this function is though).A small negative is that you cannot switch off the beep sound or dim the screen for the quiet night readings. But at this price and accuracy perhaps one couldn't ask for more. :-) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Safe and easy to use.
