Most Danish oils on the market contain toxic chemicals which evaporate into the atmosphere which can cause damage to health and to the world we live in. Our Danish Oil is Voc free and contains no harmful solvents or metal dryers. It contains 100% of polymerised linseed oil which gives your woodwork a pure natural hard wearing finish. Please remember a very thin coat is only required. Our Danish Oil gives a natural finish which enhances the natural grain of the wood. Our Danish Oil is food safe, smells natural and is good for the environment. How to apply Danish Oil. Wood Preparation All unfinished wood pieces should be prepared by sanding before applying a finish to it and removal of all dust particles. Sanding will reduce surface scratches on the wood which will minimize drying time and will also provide a more even sheen. We recommend finishing with 320 grit or higher for all our oils. Apply a very thin even coat to the wood with a lint free cloth at room temperature .Put a small amount of oil onto the cloth and begin working the oil onto the surface working your way over the entire piece occasionally adding more oil to your cloth. It is very important that only a small amount of oil is used and must be well worked into the piece. Leave for a minimum of 15 minutes and after the oil has soaked into the surface rub with a clean lint free cloth briskly until the surface feels dry with no oil residue left. The surface will be dry but feel oily to touch. Allow the Danish Oil to cure for a min of 8 hours Before applying the second coat burnish(rub) the surface with 0000 steel wool until silky smooth and ensure the surface is clean with the use of a tack cloth. Proceed to apply the 2nd and 3rd coats. For a deeper shine apply additional coats. ## Features - Natural Finish - No Harmful metal dryers or solvents. - Suitable for internal woodwork, cabinets, salad bowls, utensils, wood chopping boards, wooden toys and any surface in contact with food - 100% Oil and VOC free - slight smell of old fashioned window putty which dissipates when dry ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B007BD5Y3M | | ASIN | B007BD5Y3M | | Best Sellers Rank | #247,149 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #170 in Household Oil Finish | | Brand Name | Parr's | | Compatible Material | Resin | | Coverage | 107-129 sq ft/500ml | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (1,650) | | Customer reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (1,650) | | Date First Available | 15 August 2022 | | Finish Types | Unfinished | | Is Discontinued By Manufacturer | No | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Weight | 0.49 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Parr's | | Manufacturer | Parr's | | Material Type | wood | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Product Dimensions | 20 x 6 x 6 cm; 490 g | | Recommended Uses For Product | Internal woodwork, food-related wooden items, and other surfaces in contact with food | | UPC | 608939427969 | | Unit Count | 500.0 Milliliters | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Parr's - **Finish type:** Unfinished - **Item weight:** 0.49 Kilograms - **Material:** wood - **Recommended uses for product:** Internal woodwork, food-related wooden items, and other surfaces in contact with food ## Images ![Danish Oil 500ml - Voc Free and no toxins -Chopping Boards and Internal Woodwork - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51EmAzwQQEL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - Danish Oil 500ml - Voc Free & Environmentally friendly -Chopping Boards and Internal Woodwork - Lint Free Cloths- Pack of 3 x 400mm x 400mm- Apply Oils Waxes Dyes Polish - Parr's Steel Wool - 0000 Grade- 5m roll --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/653477236-danish-oil-500ml-voc-free-and-no-toxins-chopping-boards](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/653477236-danish-oil-500ml-voc-free-and-no-toxins-chopping-boards) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
