But when she's alone with Satan, it often takes a more serious and darker tone.It's a funny story and well worth a read, but stories like this are hard to write consistently good - and I have nothing to go on besides this one book to judge the authors writing ability.Anyway, I'm not taking off a star because I'm concerned about later volumes running out of steam, so 5 it is. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The end is nigh! Actually he sleeps in an additional 14 years so it’s 314 years. In an attempt to conquer earth, again, he has his demonic minions bring in humans to make them provide intelligence on the human race. He gets more than he bargains for when one of the demons brings in a highly efficient secretary with a bit of an ax to grind against her former employer. Can she survive the great Lucifer and his evil minions? Or rather, can they survive her? Satan’s Secretary is a very funny and not too graphic manga about the demon lord and the human secretary willing to help him destroy all humans, except herself. I read it three times straight. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hilarious *by W***M on Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2018* Satan's Secretary follows the story of a mild-mannered bespectacled woman who is kidnapped after the Demon Lord awakens. Instead of denying the Demon Lord any help, she eagerly offers her services to aid in conquering humanity. I can relate to a lot of the tropes used in this story since I am a fan of Japanese Role Playing Games, especially Dragon Quest. The game wouldn't be very long if game designers took these suggestions to heart. Why are all the weakest monsters right where the Hero grows up? Why not just kill the King and Priests so that the Hero can't revive? This book asks a great many questions about that sort of thing. Along the way, we discover portions of the Secretary's past along with the past of Satan.Since this is a manga, I suppose I should comment on the art as well, even though I don't really have an eye for that sort of thing.
