But it has replaced my regular shampoo as well. I have super dry, porous, curly hair so had problems with product build up. Also had dry itchy scalp. The first time I used it my hair felt just a little dryer than after using my regular shampoo while in the shower before I conditioned. Once I conditioned and my dried it was super soft!!!!!!! My hair no longer feels waxy from product build up even after I put in leave in conditioner, curl cream and gel. My scalp is no longer dry and itchy . After subsequent uses my hair felt just as soft as it felt with my regular shampoo while in the shower before conditioning. And it feels super soft when it is dry. I think it took a couple shampoos to fully get rid of extensive product build up (I hadn’t clarified in 6 months or more). This allowed moisture and conditioner to penetrate my hair. Plus it is not drying like most clarifying shampoos.
