This Scottish (Scottie..?), jacket is made of stronger fabric - with the same size & pocket positions as the US original - which is great. What is not good are the small sizes available in this UK range - when it is a simple Fact that men’s clothing sizes are growing and both 5XL and 6XL are essential - especially if you fill all the internal pockets. Compounding this error in sizing policy is the companies’ reluctance to send me a return label, so that I may return my (pitifully small), 3XL size jacket in good shape - whilst waiting for AyeGear to bow to public pressure and produce a 5XL or 6XL for me - as their “Size Guide” would imply. It would also show more company honesty if AyeGear admitted the otherwise unexplainable similarities between their Scottish-made and those US-designed (including larger sizes), ScotteVest jackets. Until AyeGear admits the need for larger sizes in their range, I must recommend - albeit reluctantly - that ordering from across the Atlantic is yourBest course of action if you are substantial in size. Which is a shame... ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good idea - not sure about its execution *by D***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 September 2019* This is a great idea. It is generally well made and of good quality. Downside is that it is a bit ungainly to wear as it does not drape very well and is a bit stiff. The hood when folded away is not comfortable. It maybe has too many pockets. The cable management system will probably be redundant with the increasing popularity of bluetooth ear buds. The front zip at the bottom is difficult to engage due to the proximity of the hem stitching. The price is also a bit expensive. I would have preferred a longer back. The sizes seem a little on the small side, particularly when you consider that the pockets when full will make it even more close fitting - one reason for fewer pockets.I think that there is also a bit to much emphasis on hidden pockets, some of the external pockets should be more obvious. This would distract attention away from the hidden pockets. Otherwise people know a jacket has pockets and expect to find them - hiding them makes people look more closely. ### ⭐⭐⭐ not bad - not cheap - *by U***G on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 October 2016* Whilst My 3 stars say that its only "ok" it works well and is a very competent storer of stuff..... It was a bit smaller than I had expected - which means that when you fill all of the pockets up, its tight. Definately buy one thats bigger than you usually buy. The second issue is that it isnt particularly breathable. I took this to Tenerife packed full of "Stuff" and I nearly melted. Luckily, my normal commute is manchester to inverness every Monday and Friday - and for this - its fine.
