**Q: Can you purchase spare adhesive strips without the plastic hook?**
A: I don’t know, as I shan’t be trying to buy replacements. I live in an 18th century property which makes putting up picture hooks very difficult and this is why I tried Command picture hooks. Every picture has fallen off the wall! A n expensive mistake on my part.

**Q: What is the stuff you have to wipe the surface with prior to hanging.**
A: Rubbing alcohol

**Q: Whatsthe maximum weight they are likely to hold?**
A: It says 2kg. Mine has held a big canvas on it with no problem.

**Q: Can I hang framed pictures up with these please?**
A: I can only tell you that I hung a framed print and all seemed well but after a couple of hours the hook gave way and the whole lot slid off the wall. I suspect the hook could be more effective on a bare wall - I affixed it onto slightly ridged wallpaper and that possibly lessened its adhesive qualities.

As long as you follow the instructions on the back of the packet you will have no problem getting these picture hangers to stick to the wall and to hold the weight of the picture frame. So much easier than trying to hammer in picture hooks into solid walls!

These picture hanging strips do a good job of hanging quite weighty pictures and so far they are all still attached to the walls! They are a good size and seem strong and reliable. I can't comment yet on how easy they are to remove because they are being used. My only reservation with this product is the fact that there was a mistake in the instructions that came with it. It gave colours for the two sides of the adhesive, but the colours didn't match, causing some confusion initially. Overall, these are good quality and reliable. I would recommend.
