And does it last, or compress down (if so how long a life?)** A: Mine is the same as in the photo. It does compress down a bit as it is designed to but is still as comfortable as when I first bought it. It is only 5cm (2 inches) thick - the photo gives the impression it is thicker. A thicker topper would prevent most fitted sheets from fitting so it can't be too thick. **Q: Is it washable?** A: Well it is very large ( I bought a king size) so it won't fit into a conventional washing machine. A single size may fit into a larger machine 9kg perhaps. I have washed a single before it survived but it wasn't quite so 'plump' afterwards. **Q: I’ve ordered the wrong size how do I return** A: Check the website for return details, ok **Q: Is this ok to put over an electric blanket or will it cause problems? would you still be able to feel the heat, or could the electric blanket overhe** A: I once put a mattress topper (not this one) over an electric blanket, and nearly set the bed on fire. The heat was able to build up and I certainly singed the mattress quite badly and ruined it and was lucky to find it before great harm was done. I have put an electric blanket OVER the mattress topper successfully.
