I tried a cheap double ring before, and this is way lighter and thinner, while still being basically just as useful in terms of working as a stand. Was very happy with the product initially, but after a few months of use the piece of plastic that connects the finger loop to the base broke. It was after the return period and therefore ineligible for return. Amazon customer service was unhelpful. My conclusion is that the product is defective. The major moving component is connected with cheap, thin plastic lightly glued to the base and it will not hold up.
