## Questions & Answers

**Q: are the tops of them adjustable**
A: Hi John,

Yes, it can be adjusted. The ends are clamps and you can clamp wherever you see fit.

Thank you

**Q: Will these hold a pergola down that is on pavers?**
A: This anchor kit is more designed for anchoring a shelter to all surfaces including grass, rocky soil, gravel or asphalt. Securing a Pergola may not work because of how the anchors connect.

**Q: Will these work in compacted sand? Want to use them in a beach pen as back up tie downs for my boat.**
A: I would think that these would work for you. I use them for my car shelter and because they are 24+ inches into the sand/earth, they should work.

**Q: What are these shed anchors wind rating?**
A: Hi Carl,

To get a specific rating the anchor would have to be tested in the surface you are anchoring it in. The rating will vary depending on the terrain it is being installed in. To discuss in more detail please feel free to call us at 1-800-932-9344.

Thank you

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great anchors for a shed, etc.
*by T***H on December 30, 2014*

I needed to anchor several little building projects on the end of an exposed ridge. The wind load can be scary. After installing 16 of these EasyHook anchors I feel much safer. Some thoughts on installation. As mentioned by others, use the driving rod by itself to drill the hole for the anchor. Then, drive the anchor into the hole with the rod.For me, the hardest part was extracting the rod from some wet Virginia clay. A Vise Grip was essential, plus a pry bar and some wood scraps for a fulcrum. The Vise Grip created a purchase on the rod so it could be pried out of the ground.I was impressed with the driving rod. There was a rod in each kit but I only used one rod. It stood up to all the pounding for 16 anchors, remaining straight. The top mushroomed a bit, of course, under a 4 lb hammer. Good reason to wear eye protection and gloves. The little plastic caps should be removed from the rod before use. They merely protect potentially sharp edges while in transit. The cable clamps were preassembled. That saved time. Simply thread a clamp onto the cable, then bend the cable's bitter end around the object to be secured and back into the clamp. Snug the nuts with a 7/16" drive socket wrench. For some applications the best approach may be to wrap the cable around an exposed structural element such as a joist. When that's not possible, consider drilling a 3/16" hole as a purchase for the cable. Drill the hole on a slant (10-30 degrees) so water will not collect and rot the wood. Then pound the anchor into the prepared hole until the cable is taught.I liked these well-made anchors, their cables, and clamps. Very nice materials in a good design. My neighbor will be using some of these anchors soon.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Installation was easy with tips
*by K***V on July 30, 2024*

Bought to secure a 8x10 shed in my area required by my county building codes. I was concerned about some complaints regarding removing the driving rod after hammering it in. With some helpful tips received, REMOVE the plastic protective tips on rod. ( come that way for protection only) Grind down slightly, the top edge of rod going into the anchor hole. I sprayed some lubricant in the hole of the device, just because. No ,problems at all. The rod came out EASILY after some serious pounding. Great anchor and the county building inspector OK'd it and got the seal of approval.

### ⭐ Worst Anchor EVER!!!
*by A***R on May 25, 2024*

Bought these to tie down kids swing set. Directions are fairly simple to understand. Put rod in anchor and drive into ground. Problem is the rod would not come back out of the first anchor. Just as directions say, drive in approximately 20” and pull rod back out. After about 20 minutes I Finally managed to work the rod back out of the anchor. It was a pain in the backside. My thoughts were I must have drove it in too far. Nope!! On the second anchor I drove it in exactly 20”. Tried pulling the rod out and it would not come back up. I wiggled the rod and turned it at the same time and finally the rod and anchor all came back up!! Not to be a quitter I tried again. This time tried another anchor in the package. Thinking this was the solution. Wrong Batman! Fooled again. The rod and anchor after being drove down again would not come out of the anchor. I worked tirelessly to get it back up but to no avail. I tied the cable to my swing set and drove the rod all the way into the ground until the cable tightened up on the swing set. I took the other two anchors and the box, carried them to the back of my pasture and buried them. I was afraid if I carried them to the trash and they got to the landfill, some poor fool would see them, pick them up and carry them home! I was afraid they might suffer the same Fate!! Take it from me, BUY SOMETHING ELSE!!!
