The tip is super fine, as good as my jody jazz with a 25/1000ths inch tip, the tip and rails are even. This mouthpiece plays as good as my Vandoren Jumbo Java A35, and my Jody Jazz Jet 6 on all styles of music, on all ranges of the horn. In fact, it plays slightly better than the Jumbo Java down low. I plan to return both of those and keep this. Note: This and the JJ and Jet are all way better than the rico metallite. Don't bother with the metallite, buy this.
