These strap-locks are a really great idea BUT! The great idea didn’t transfer into reality via the manufacturing process. No one tried them out on a strap! Why do I say this? Well rather than argue just buy a set...If you are interested..The problem is in the thread/spigot length. I just fitted them to one of the thinner straps you can buy, a brand new one, and I had to flatten out the leather end piece with a flat dressing hammer, this in order to make it thin enough to get the nut to bite on the amount of thread that pokes through. Not enough of the thread appears through the strap hole to then get the nut to bite easily... if you are not careful you can strip the thread. When I fitted them to a thicker full leather strap I had to buy a thinner washer, more or less a shim. As well as flattening out the leather and it was a hard task. I say you need a washer on both sides, this as the leather can tend to ruck up around the inside fitting, but you have NO chance of getting two washers on..All you need is for the spigot to be maybe 7mm longer 7MM!!! Other than that they are great, once you've got them on... How can this company be so blissfully unaware, all they needed to do was to test them????The thin strap I just used? Yes a standard Levy type strap.... ????? Again I have to stress here, that when you get them on they are great... mucking about changing washers etc. is not such a big deal, especially if you are handy with tools. But then for the sake of 7mm it could be a breeze..... Hard to believe that 7mm would make such a difference but then that's also what my wife said... ### ⭐⭐⭐ Doesn’t fit with Schallers *by M***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 August 2018* As a whole unit, thes appear fine. However, I have three basses and use schallers on the other two- thought this would be a great retrofit. It’s not. Same design, different fit. If you have one strap per instrument, go for it. If you use one strap on several and are mixing with schallers, spend the money and get the real thing ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seem to work well *by S***G on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 December 2018* Works well - not compatible with a different suppliers strap lock (slightly thicker) so I use these on my basses and other version on electrics. On reflection I should have bought too many of one type ...
