First thoughts : good quality with a nice heavy feel. This is to replace the Orient Mako, which at 41.5 mm diameter felt a little small, but the Mako XL feels just right at 45mm diameter. The overall spec is very slightly lower than the original Mako - having a printed day/date window frame rather than raised metal, no embossed logo on the crown and the lume on the hands is ok but barely present on the hour marks. However, those are minor points and don't really detract from the overall quality. Great value for a 200mm dive watch. Not seen anything else that compares at this price.

I have a love of quality watches and Orient make some of the best mechanical watches around, you get a watch which is made in one factory all the components are made in house assembled in house which is rare in this day even some high brow Swiss brands cannot boast this. The build quality is excellent and accuracy spot on for a automatic watch I cannot fault this watch in any way and highly recommend buying one. As for delivery from the supplier that was 48 hours from order.

Compared to the Mako at a similar price this watch features the non-hacking ORIENT Cal. 46943. The bezel is printed not powder-coated and generally it's nowhere near the Mako in buld quality.NOT RECOMMENDED - Get a a MAKO !!

This is such a gorgeous watch, couldn't ask for more. It's quite heavy but fits nicely on the wrist and has a gorgeous sweep on the second hand. Bought as a birthday present and he loves it.
