There are probably unbranded alternatives too. **Q: is battery included** A: yes it has an integral battery, which will last several hours, when its not being charged by the car charger lead, i have used mine for best part of a day without charging, this Tom Tom is very good value and works extremely well, very easy to operate and picks up GPS straight away, plus you can pre load your destination from your phone, jump in turn on and off you go. **Q: Are the lifetime traffic and maps free for every update?** A: Hey there - yes indeed, the Go Basic has a lifetime subscription to the Traffic service.
