A couple of things to take note of. The bar itself is quite short so your legs always stay together, therefore you cannot vary from this position.If you look at the photo of the product, the screw handle for the bar is on the below side which sort of rubs your feet because of the small amount of space. I simply put mine on top and screwed it from the top side, problem solved.The rubber grips that come between the metal and your door are quite plastic and don't give excellent grip. Though they do protect your door and don't slip because you are pulling from the front not side to side.When tightening the screw on both the bar and the door you're never quite sure as to how tight to go in case you thread the screw. My advice would be hand tight with a little bit of give not as tight as absolutely possible.All in all a very inexpensive simple device. With my gutties on I can just squeeze into the largest setting as the bar over the feet is adjustable. I'd say if you've larger feet then it is a no no. It's not like a sit up bar in the gym that you can power into, more it just holds your feet down like if there was no bar at all.
