They are not all wool, they have a foam core. Within a day my cat shredded them and threw up the material. Something about wool makes some cats and dogs want to devour it. My 1 year old cat ate quite a bit, ended up having to have emergency surgery to remove a blockage in his small intestine. The blockage was a wad of red wool from one of these balls. Complications from the surgery and I’m out $4,000, but at least kitty has recovered.
