The first use was great... ...then I went to clean my board off a month later, and after scrubbing & scrubbing I FINALLY got most of the chalk off, along with some of the surrounding paint on my 'baby milestones board'. So naturally, disregarding my previous struggles, I used them again. Low and behold, the tip was dried up (which in hindsight I shouldn't have been surprised, the shit was like quick drying cement). I shook, and "milked" (for lack of better terms), and flipped the felt tip around. Well then the marker just exploded all over.. white chalk pain EVERYWHERE. On the board, on my floor, all over the baby... The bright side? it does clean up well when wet! Anyways, all said and done, I'll still use them again, and cuss the whole time while wearing my poncho, and the baby is a safe distance away. (And yes, I left the paint on the board to cement for another month). You have to press down hard to make them work and then that wears out the tip. I would get a different type if you are looking for a chalk pen. These were low priced, but I can see why now. The first few times you use them the color is bright and writing is smooth but as with others the tip gets frayed and bends, then stops loading ink. If you’re going to label a BUNCH of things in a row versus using this over time then sure, rock on with your bad self and use that puppy up.
