I was seeing 10.3v at the motherboard running prime95 with a 65w cpu and the wires were hot after only a couple minutes. I replaced the 16-18awg wires with true 14awg by soldering and heat shrinking to the original connectors. With this mod its perfect, maintaining 11.8v, well within ATX specs.
