    Excellent purchase

I'm not one to usually review things here, but felt the need here.Recently bought a used 2014 Kia Forte EX with the 16" alloy wheel option, not 15's, very decent car, only 30k miles. Good deal, good on gas. Prior to buying the car I was aware they did not offer a spare. Asked the dealer, not a Kia dealer, to find a spare lying around for the car... to no avail.Looked all around at my options and pricing, etc. Chose this OEM Kia spare kit, perfect fit for this car. Brandy new, fits perfect in the spare tire well with the existing screw/lock down threaded hole in the car.Tire kit came fast and couldn't be happier knowing I won't need AAA/Roadside assistance to simply change a tire should I get a flat. I could change a tire in 15mins if needed. I would advise anyone to buy this, even if you cannot change a tire, because if you wreck the sidewall or rim, your "tire goo & air pump" will not do anything for you. Being stranded in this day and age is silly.Again, perfect fit for this vehicle and likely many similar models/years. But do your research to be sure for what you drive. The tire came inflated to 20psi, once you receive it, pump it up to 60psi, screw the kit into the spare tire well and drive with peace of mind. They will not ship a tire at 60 psi safety regulations I'm sure. At least twice a year, always check you spare tire pressure. Something people always forget, then they get a flat.. and the spare is no good. But the cars come with a little pump, so buy a $2 air gauge for yourself.Comes with the new driver door sticker to show yes you now have a spare. Awesome.

This factory spare tire or....a can of sealant? You decide!

*by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 4, 2017*

This spare kit is O.E. Kia, not some aftermarket substitute. It feels much better to have a spare tire. Kia gives you an air compressor and a $50.00- plus can of sealant. That may work if you pick up a nail, but if you have a hole in the sidewall. you are done! Kia is not the only manufacturer that gifts you with just a can of sealant. Would you believe Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo and others have no spare or for that matter, don't even have room to put one! And these are car's that start in the six figure range! Forgive my rant....it was just a rude surprise that my new $20K-plus car didn't come with a spare tire!! I'm over it...yea right!!

Great for those with the stock inflator

*by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2016*

It's an OEM spare tire kit, not much to say. Purchased this like most do to replace the not so useful inflator kit that comes stock. It fits correctly in the spare tire compartment, hold air at pressure and has the proper labelling documentation for several vehicle types to show the car has a spare and provide the inflation guidelines. The only issue I have now is what to do with the old foam insert.I'd recommend keeping the inflator kit with you as well. If you're stuck in the middle of nowhere with 2 flats, having that as well, could really help
