## Description

Liqui Moly GmbH is a German company specializing in oils, lubricants and additives. Starting January 1, 2018, Liqui Moly is part of the Würth Group which bought the remaining shares of the previous majority holder and CEO Ernst Prost. He now is the managing director of Liqui Moly, together with Günter Hiermaier. Liqui Moly GmbH was founded in 1957 in Ulm on the river Danube. The patent for production of molybdenum disulfide formed the basis for the company. This additive based on liquified molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) was the company's first product and gave the company its name. Molybdenum sulfide, the basic ingredient of the Liqui Moly Oil additive, was discovered in the shops of the US Army in post-war Germany. These shops sold a can under the brand name Liqui Moly that contained the liquified form of the solid lubricant molybdenum sulfide (MoS2). When added to motor oil, this substance ensures emergency running characteristics in the event of a sudden loss of oil. Fighter pilots in World War One had already exploited this property, adding MoS2 to the motor oil in the aircraft engines. This enabled pilots to still land, even if the oil tank was hit.

Review: Good package, sealed box - Using this in my ciaz petrol for some time now, happy with the performance, I use it at every 3rd oil change or 30k kms… add this and you feel the engine running smooth, free of vibrations …currently my car has done 1.25lac kms… happy with the package, totally sealed package.

Actually recommend servicing the car 500km before it is due.Regular engine oil changes help 2.Keep spark plugs and injectors clean by physically maintenance of gaps and throttle body cleaners In conjunction with the above, the Cera Tec works by reducing friction inside the cylinder by coating with a slippery boron oxide modifier. This means less friction, less heat ,less sound and a smoother engine. Ideal for cars having crossed 60000km and above. My Hyundai Sonata 2.4 GDI MT runs butter smooth now

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this be used in conjunction with the anti-friction oil treatment,or should i pick one or the other to use? (2011 bmw 535i with 72kmiles)**
A: I contacted liqui moly about that and they said they do not recommend mixing because of the metals in each of the additives ceratec should do the trick no need for other things

**Q: Does this void engine warranty ?**
A: Absolutely it does, for Volkswagen at least. They make it very clear that you MUST use only the approved oil with nothing else. The engines are designed very specifically and are highly stressed. They will only work right with the specified oil.

**Q: How often can i use this product?**
A: I use it every 4 or 5 oil changes if you drive a lot, if not then every 2 years is what I do

**Q: is all you need to do is drain the oil, oil do u have to open up the oil pan?**
A: So, the answer is no about the oil pan. Using factory drain plug, let all of the oil out. Replace oil filter. Refill with fresh oil. Add 1 can of treatment. Drive until next oil change. Next oil change just do a normal oil change. And so on. Then in 50,000 miles, use the additive again. (I am just being more specific)
