That would make it the coarse blade as fine blades have 21pts blades **Q: Does the handle unscrew to loosen the tension on the blade?** A: Yes it does, holding the holder for blade and turning handle will loosen blade. I always keep the blade tight, unless I am replacing blade. **Q: Is the included blade adequate to cut metal?** A: the ones that come with it are wood blades. you may be able to cut thin metal for a very short distance. but no.
