I have long been a huge fan and proponent of the Guayusa leaf/tea, and I was so delighted to discover this new way to get it. So far the flavors I have tried are good (they are right - not overly sweet), but it’s hard for me to get anything other than the cherry flavor, because with that little bit of lime juice, oh man... perfection.Guayusa is an amazing source for caffeine. I recently turned my partner onto it, and he used the same words to describe it as I do: it’s a magnificent energizer, with no jittery feeling (which he struggles with when drinking other caffeinated but drinks). There is this incredible clarity with it, as well - a sudden mental acuity that kind of reveals to you how fuzzy your mind was before (I like Yerba Mate, too, but it typically makes me feel fuzzy or even a little sleepy). On the mornings that I would drink Guayusa tea when I was teaching kindergarten, I felt like a much more focused, patient, receptive teacher.Obviously, I’m a big fan. I love what I’ve seen and learned about the Mati company so far, as well, and I love that they are just over in nearby North Carolina, too. I’ll be back, Mati. Just you wait. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not your typical energy drink *by M***T on Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2018* If you are a big fan of the taste of your classic Monster/Red Bull/etc energy drinks you very likely won't like these... they're not nearly as sweet and have a very earthy taste... more of a strong tea with fruit juice than an energy drink. Some of the flavors are not very good in my opinion, some are okay, and since I like authentic cherry and lime flavors, the Cherry is really good. The energy boost isn't your typical rush, it's more subtle and less jittery to me, which is nice. Overall I'd recommend it if you want less sugar, more juice, and boost not a buzz. I'd get the 6 pack variety pack to try each flavor myself, but if you want to take a risk I think cherry is far and away the best of them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ solid *by D***O on Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2020* As soon as I read about Mati going out of business, I started to buy some of the remaining inventory in bulk. It's great, and gyasa provides smooth steady energy. The only downside is that this stuff is bitter, like the original Rockstar. Even sugar and fruit juice cannot mask the bitterness.
