It’s still fairly flexible, but I am sure the nylon will get softer as time goes on. I was surprised by the quality with how scratchy it wasn’t. Some of my NATO straps came a bit scratchy, but this one wasn’t bad at all. The colors are nice and deep- the blue isn't too dark and the red is a blue-based red, so not orange at all. I cut off the 'extra' flap and oriented the watch so the strap works like a regular watch strap, and it works great for me. I have about a 7 3/8" wrist and wear my watch slightly loose, and there's 4 holes to go larger, and 7 holes to go smaller with this single-under-pass set up. It's nice and comfy on my wrist as I do prefer woven straps over rubber or silicon. It does have a slightly chemical smell right out of the package, but it doesn't bother me. Out of all my NATO straps, this seems to be the one that traps most sweat and smells the worse so I have to wash it constantly with warm water and dishwasher liquid to get the grime off; pretty easy to clean2.
