I don't really have severe acne, but occasionally will get monster zits on my right cheek or on my forehead, and then basically spend 2 weeks wishing I could just put a bandaid over my entire face. Before I found this product, I had to basically endure the red hot, inflamed, humiliatingly yellow-whitish zit overtaking my face until the zit monster ran its course, leaving to attack other victims.This product has been amazing. I use it in conjunction with a BHA daily exfoliator and my skin stays zit-free. Three things I love about the cleanser: 1) it's SUPER lightweight, foamy and has NO particles, which means no irritation or friction against your skin. For anyone who has had troubled skin, gritty particles or even a soapy lather can irritate and press into an inflamed zit, driving infection deeper down inside and leaving you with an even more tender, deep-rooted cyst. Because this foam is so airy, it barely brushes against your skin. but yet, you can feel it penetrating the pores - with almost minimal contact. It's like putting a acne-shielding cloud across your face.2) The medication (benzoyl peroxide, which kills the anaerobic bacteria that cause acne) stays in your pores even after you wash it off. This might be why it's so effective (see #3). It feels tingly and yes, it might irritate people with very sensitive skin if you leave the foam on too long. I've built up a tolerance to it where I can leave it on for 3-4 minutes, brush my teeth, then wash it off (for extra protection on those "greasy" days), but I'd normally leave it on for just 5-10 seconds before rinsing off gently.3) It WORKS. Give it 2 weeks and you'll see the difference.I use it every day only when I'm having the signs of a potential flare up, and it shrinks whiteheads and has prevented those monster zits from forming. 1 pump is plenty to coat your face. Massage very gently and rinse off. (If your skin is really troubled, leave on the foam for a few minutes before rinsing off. Otherwise, rinse off immediately.) When my skin is normal, I use it only once a week. It does dry out my skin, so I save the intense uses for when I really need it.Note - don't use this in combination with OTC benzoyl peroxide creams or spot treatments, unless you know your skin can tolerate it. (This can cause hyperpigmentation, flaking, and redness.) Instead, after this you can follow up with a salicylic acid gel or glycolic acid treatment assuming your skin is not sensitive to either - or simply apply a moisturizer that suits your skin type. (Mine is dry - I use Oil of Olay Regenerist Serum and Paula's Choice exfoliants with great results.)This bottle has lasted me nearly a year. I heard AcneFree is going to discontinue the product, which saddens me - so I'm stocking up on bottles while I can. Highly recommend! ### ⭐⭐ Maybe my can was bad? *by N***T on Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2014* 1st use of product, my can spurted out more air than product. I got a total of 6 uses out of it. Every use stinged a little but the last use really burned. I probably shouldnt have used it at all after the 1st use, but I had never used it before and some products do sting a little, so ya never know. My face was red and puffy for several hours after the last time I used it. Its very possible I was getting more of the chemical that causes the foam to foam than the actual product. It even had a bit of a grey tint to it. I dont really know. However, the can stopped working at all during that 6th use. I cant really say whether or not it works, because I wasnt able to actually use it. I can say be careful if you buy because you may get a bad can. I have tried this same product in cream form (still available in stores), and it seems to be working pretty nicely. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Stuff *by H***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2013* I usually have a problem with acne, but after using this product my skin has been clear and beautiful.
