Buying new weights is expensive, and the old weights end up sitting around, and are not easy to get rid of. The adjustable weights help with that problem. These weights have 10 settings (5lbs increments from 10lbs to 55lbs) that are easy to adjust and easy to use. They are slightly wider than many other dumbells, and for some lifts that can be awkward.
