Despite what it says in the product description this does not let water through, it beads up and will roll around on top of the fabric but won't soak through. Which I guess wouldn't be too bad if you were expecting that, except I was under the impression this would actually let water get through so I used it to line a dry well, which is now completely full of water that won't drain (it was draining fine before, and I even let it sit for a day to see if that would make a difference, which it didn't). So this product is a terrible choice for me and possibly for you.
