The clear case it has over the player protects it from dust, and muffles the cd spinning sound, which lets the music to play louder. Controls are relatively easy ( skip buttons, sound, shuffle play, etc) and it also comes with Bluetooth if you want that option as well. It’s very sleek and easy to carry around and its size is perfect. Overall it can go pretty loud, for a casual listen. (Not suitable for a loud house party or anything). It skips songs easily too. I bought this while it was on sale for 12$ and I’d say it’s worth its price pretty much, but I would get it while it’s on sale instead of 30$. I’ve had this player for very long and it’s battery life if great and you can play music on it while it’s charging as well. It’s never had any trouble playing my cds which are pretty aged. My only complaint is the startling noise it makes when it’s at low battery lol. However - it has been in a constant state of "pairing," will not allow me to play from the built in speakers itself, and once "paired" with a device, it will not play the CD, no matter how many times I press play. It is incredibly annoying and I am utterly dissatisfied with this product. The manual has little to no detail - there's not even a real power button. I really wish I could get my money back for this. This is such a disappointing product. The website doesn't have any support. Save your money.
