The peas are actually quite small (presumably as a result of the roasting process), but there are an awful lot of them in the packet. I haven't tried any of the other flavours yet, but the sea salt ones are very pleasant and inoffensive. The salty taste is very subtle and doesn't overwhelm the product. The peas themselves aren't too 'peay' in taste, so the whole effect is very pleasant. They are surprisingly moreish!
