I've tried numerous brands of stair treads, and the rubber-backed ones look nice but move imperceptibly every day until they're way out of kilter. While I really like the ones with peel-and-stick adhesive, I have a minor concern about them getting stickier over time and taking up the paint when removed. These treads have no such worries. The backs are coated with some kind of miracle (non-sticky) substance, protected by peel-off strips. After preparing the stairs, the treads were easy to place and re-position. It's been a couple of weeks now, and they haven't moved at all! They also look good, and the padding makes walking up & down the stairs more comfortable. I expect them to last a long time.
