Freeze dried to help preserve aroma and flavor, this raw cat food helps entice picky eaters, reduce food boredom, and encourage consistent eating. The mini patties format offers a unique combination of structure and flexibility. Pre-formed portions make it easy to control servings, while each patty can be broken apart, crumbled, or rehydrated with water to create a softer, moisture-rich texture similar to gravy or pâté. By delivering minimally processed raw nutrition in a customizable format, Mini Patties make it easy to tailor meals for selective eaters and multi-cat households with different preferences. Serve as a complete and balanced meal or use as a cat food topper or mixer with dry or wet cat food to add variety and nutrition to your cat’s routine. Many cat parents choose to pair freeze-dried raw food with wet food as part of a mixed feeding approach that introduces raw nutrition while maintaining familiar feeding habits. Start by adding a small amount and build from there—even a little raw can help support long-term health and more moments together. Available in a variety of protein options, Vital Essentials makes it easy to rotate recipes and keep cats engaged at mealtime while delivering minimally processed nutrition. Made in North America’s largest freeze-drying facility for pet food, it’s a simple way to feed raw with confidence—so you can feel good about what you’re serving every day. Review: If my cats didn't like these, I would've given 3 stars just because of the smell - My cat LOVES these treats, but GOOD GAWD....the smell. This is certainly high quality food, but the rabbit ones do NOT smell like much of anything. These chicken ones smell like I forgot to take the trash out and it had chicken parts in it. I happily recommend these if your cat likes freeze dried food/treats. Just be warned....plug your nose when doling these out!! Review: 100% cat approved but QA issues - Update: my cat still loves this food, however, unfortunately Vital Essentials has been suffering from a QA issue. Half of the patties in the last several bags have been pulverized (pic added). I reached out to the company and they did send me a replacement- which was also crushed. This has been happening since November 2025. This is so unfortunate because it’s been great for my cat, but he won’t eat the dust. That means I’m paying full price for a half a useable product. I am still searching for an alternative that satisfies him in the same way :( I recently began giving my cat raw food. He had been on a wet and dry food diet but he was constantly throwing up. I did some research about the problems with dry food and decided to try raw. I put at least 1/4 cup of water in a dish with one patty (I break it up) and add a quail egg. He devours it!! He's only vomitted once in 3 weeks (hair ball)!! I’ve also noticed that he doesn’t ask me for sink water any more bc I think he’s getting enough by lapping up the 1/4 cup 2x a day. I swear I can tell he is so much happier now. He barely will touch his dry food at all but I leave out in case he needs a snack in between meals. I wish I knew about this option for raw for all my previous cats bc it seems to suit them as carnivores so much better. (Side note, he is also OBSESSED with vital essential freeze dried minnows as a treat. Def try for you cat!) ## Features - CHICKEN FREEZE DRIED CAT FOOD – SOFT MINI PATTIES 15 OZ: Complete and balanced raw cat food made with 99% chicken, organs and bone in soft, pre-formed patties. Each and every Vital Essentials product is made in our very own facility located in Wisconsin. Our manufacturing facility proudly carries the Global Food Safety Initiative FSC22000 Certification and is EU and Gluten-Free certified. **Q: Why should I wash my hands after handling raw freeze dried food?** A: The FDA recommends washing your hands after handing any raw food, including freeze-dried pet foods. **Q: Is it normal for raw freeze dried food to have an aroma?** A: Yes! Since our foods are made with high levels of meat, you can expect the food to have a meaty aroma. Some proteins have a more noticeable aroma than others. **Q: What if my pet has tummy issues after eating raw freeze dried food?** A: Any change in diet comes with a chance of digestive upset. This is why we recommend a slow transition over the course of 5-7 days when changing your pet's food! This helps give your dog or cat plenty of time to adjust to his or her new diet. **Q: What if my pet doesn't like his new food or treat?** A: We're confident that your pet will LOVE Vital Essentials, but all animals have preferences! If the first product you try isn't a hit with your dog or cat, we offer a wide variety of proteins and textures that we're sure will be a great fit. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If my cats didn't like these, I would've given 3 stars just because of the smell *by C***A on July 26, 2026* My cat LOVES these treats, but GOOD GAWD....the smell. Half of the patties in the last several bags have been pulverized (pic added). I reached out to the company and they did send me a replacement- which was also crushed. I just crumble them in my hand, put it in a dish, and add some water - if he doesn't eat it all in the first hour or so I'll come back and add more soup (water) to it. The little pack has 9-10 patties in it, so they're about the same price as regular cans but have much more protein. Since the serving size is 3 patties for my chunky man, I've been giving him one a day and about 1/2-2/3 his regular amount of dry food as we attempt a light diet. Pros: healthy, inexpensive, cat enjoys it Cons: cat DEMANDS it and will put off eating his dry food if he suspects he's getting more chicken soups. ## Frequently Bought Together - Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Raw Cat Food, Chicken Mini Patties Entree, 15 oz - Vital Essentials® Freeze-Dried Raw Chicken Entree & Mixer Cat Food Crunchy Nibs, 12 oz --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/662767758-freeze-dried-cat-food-chicken-mini-patties-15-oz-bag](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/662767758-freeze-dried-cat-food-chicken-mini-patties-15-oz-bag) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
