I use this rack for holding test tubes for aquarium chemical level tests. Works pretty well for me. Kind flimsy if you don't put in the middle shelf. It's strong enough for me to carry it with one hand from one of the legs.The top of the first shelf is about .5" off the table. The top of the top shelf is 2.5" off the table. **Q: Would this be able to hold up a tube that's 15 cm long? I want to make sure the tubes I use arent too long.** A: I purchased this rack intending to use it for 15 cm tubes of beads, however I found it is not ideal for tubes that long. It will hold them, but they flop around a lot and this causes the "shelves" of the rack to start sliding out.
