For the price, this in my opinion matches microphones that are way higher in the price range. One thing to note is that the audio quality becomes significantly better when the mic is closer to you. It is still amazing when at around ~15inches away, but the closer the better, so I would suggest getting a mic stand too. Works great without. I have attached a pop filter to mine but this is not required as it has a pop filter built in. It has a wider range of colour patterns to choose from if you install the HyperX Ngenuity app which is available for download from the manufacturer and via whichever app store you use. All functions you would need are accessible on the mic itself, ie gain control etc Like its predecessor, the build quality is excellent and it is even better for depth and quality of voice recording and transmission. I have mine installed on the OEM mic arm inverted, so the mute is at the bottom rather than the top, personal preference but it looks great and is easy to use like that. If you're happy with the default rainbow pattern, it's a quick install and you just need to select the mic on your computer settings. Size-wise it's a bit longer than the predecessor but is still neat and tidy looking. Comes with a desktop stand if you prefer that so can be used straight out of the box.
