The texture is better than the classic sock bun for grasping the hair which makes spreading thin, fine hair over the donut easier. Complimentary ties and pins were better quality than I expected; the ties are fabric, and the pins are strong and the ends are capped, so they don't scratch or catch. Very impressed!
