The relaxer still does the job. **Q: If you don't finish one container for your retouch can you keep the container for the next retouch?** A: When the solution is mixed with the pot, there is a chemical reaction which forms the relaxer. I don't think you can save the mixed products for use several weeks later. Also there is only sufficient product to do your roots so I would be very surprised if there was much product left over after an application. **Q: What is the expiry date of this product?** A: My hairdresser relaxes my hair about every 6 to 7 weeks with this product, so the box lasted 54 weeks so just over a year. The relaxer was just as effective on the last application as the first. Do remember that the relaxer only becomes active when the two parts (the tub and the liquid) are mixed which you would only do immediately before application. I have since purchased another box and do not expect to have any problems with the product being effective.
