Review: Lightweight and portable, perfect! - My old Kindle 4 had served me well for 12+ years but it was time to upgrade to a new version to keep it active in the desertcart ecosystem and and buttons were pretty worn out. Very pleased with the new Kindle (11th Gen, 2024), the match green colour is really nice too. It is faster, the touchscreen works well to interact with and much faster for typing anything versus the old one with its multi-direction keys! Setup was simple to follow and syncing my content to the new device from my desertcart account was quick and easy. The user-interface is somewhat different from my old device, manly that it is more cover artwork-based rather than just showing book titles. This works fine for me and I haven't had any issues finding the books I am after. The new Kindle is slightly smaller than my old one but with about the same amount of text displayed on screen and the same font size. The screen itself is easy to read from, I use a Kindle specifically as I find the standard text appearance on screen easier to read than physical books or light-emitting screens. Speaking of which, the front light is quite adjustable in brightness (although only a blue-tone white light is available). I don't really use the light much as I generally have a table lamp or other light on anyway. Overall I am pleased with the Kindle 11th Gen and would recommend it. Particularly to anyway looking for a lightweight and portable-sized eReader.
Review: Really enjoying it - It’s quite small so at first I was really? Did I just paid £90+ for this? But then once I got to read it felt so great, the size is perfect! I can easily hold it in one hand and read. I have a toddler who often needs to be resettled and while she falls to a deep sleep I just read and read and read and really enjoyed myself. I didn’t buy a cover as I don’t think it needs it , I also didn’t buy a plug just used one of the Apple ones the older ones the bigger looking ones and it charged so fast , cable is included though. My husband is eyeing it up now haha I told him hand off! I love reading but I stopped once I became a mum because of obvious reasons and don’t get me wrong I love a book the feel the smell of the paper just love it but now when I try to read if my little one is near me asleep she rustles every time I turn the page as that sound just trigger her I guess she even woke up few times so I can read a book lol but anyway this is perfect and I am so very happy! I would advise just get it on its own and later purchase the add ons such as cover , screen film etc as you may not need them.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice device

This will be my 3rd kindle . My most recent was a kindle fire , tbf more of a tablet. Therein was the problem ( battery , setup ,syncing ) not going into it . This one , Gen 11 . I had misgivings as it was a bit small. I also bought the kindle cover (recomended). So clipped the cover on and pressed the button. Set up was supernatural ,it new my account ,auto connected to my wifi ,found where i was on my present read. Wow . Hardly a button pressed, no passwords again ...wow. As previously mentioned ,its size . I was wrong ,great size ,easy half size of fire. Light ,which i didnt know i wanted . Screen size is good , matt finish . Brightness was fine for me out box ,i think you can mod to suit. Font ect you can suit yourself . You change pages by tapping side of screen. No buttons for swipeing. Now this was the game changer for my ole brain, the cover . Once i was finished ,i just closed the cover and it switched off or slept , opened up and straight to where i was . Battery doing very well ,it hasnt put a foot wrong . 5/5. Cover is a bit pricey but go for it. (Seperate review).
