Lamberts Time Release Vitamin C With Bioflavonoids 1000mg - 180 Tablets. Lamberts Vitamin C Time Release is designed to release vitamin C slowly into the body throughout the day. Large doses of vitamin C, taken in one go, can cause upset stomachs, and it's generally thought that it is better to take smaller doses throughout the day, in a way that resembles the manner in which our ancestors would snack on wild fruit and berries from the trees. It has also been shown that when you take a megadose of vitamin C all in one go, the body just uses what it needs and excretes the remainder. However, this tablet, Lamberts Time Release Vitamin C, is designed to disintegrate over a 6-hour period, and thus releases vitamin C slowly and constantly into the body. Time Release Vitamin C also contains citrus bioflavonoids, which are designed to improve cellular uptake of vitamin C and which also act as antioxidants. This, together with the gradual disintegration of the tablet, resembles the way that fruit is digested and processed by the body.
