Review: Premium Experience and higher challenge - My first venture outside Lego after being a total Lego snob for many years. Wow. This kit shows that Lego are not the only player in town these days. The tl;Dr - the bricks are 95% as good as lego. There is just something about them that makes them feel different. Almost, but not quite? Maybe a wash stage after manufacturing would help. Sometimes a little more stiff to fit but quality wise, very well moulded. No dips in the studs at all. The biggest positive for me is that the set is a lot more of a challenge than even sets like the lego ferrari dytona or bugatti. It really does push your skills as a builder as the instructions don't hold your hand like a 3 year old. Little things like having to align all pieces that would fit a cross beam way before you come to fit them. Miss out this at your peril!! Although, this could be a negative for new builders I guess. Personally, I enjoyed the challenge. Overall, a tremendous quality kit but not at a high price. Really well done, too. Little things like including a bookmark for the instructions to save your page, making the bag that has parts for many sections resealable, including trays for sorting bricks. All contribute to a premium experience with a very reasonable price tag for a set this size. Most impressive of all is how the designer is credited in the build instructions. Nice! Will definitely but this brand again. Lego...watch out!
