Review: Terrible! - The flavor and texture was off and was almost expired. I can get really great Mochi in Japanyown so this is my last time ordering this. Actually every single time I buy food from desertcart it is dented expired or terrible in some way. Buy some at the store locally or just make your own.
Review: fake mochi and fake sugar - This comes in a tray with three packets and the instructions on the package are not that clear unless you speak Japanese or have a video translator, but the desert is also kind of self explanatory. You mix all the stuff together in the tray! It does not taste too bad so long as you do not mind gummy treats, but it did not really taste like mochi to me. I ordered this when I saw mochikon thinking it was a mochi treat. It is in the mochi spirit with the gummy-ish texture, but I think it seems more like the texture of konjac noodles. I liked the green tea flavoring and syrup, but I was despirited to see fake sugar in the ingredient list. My partner cannot tolerate fake sugar but was not bothered by the fake sugar when tasting this. I think if you find fake sugar bitter, the taste of green tea will mask that. The large patty of konjac did end up giving me gas and upsetting my stomach. I can often eat konjac noodles in small amounts so I think the patty was just too big for me to eat in one sitting. I did not find the ingredients or taste experience to be so exceptional that I want to go back to have more.
