Also suitable for home, sunroom and office windows. Includes step-by-step instructions and video guides. - PROFESSIONAL-GRADE 2-PLY: the self-adhesive laminated structure is thicker, more workable and easier to heat-shrink than single-ply budget films - so even first-time DIY fitters can achieve a smooth, professional finish on curved glass. - 15% VLT DARK SMOKE PRIVACY & HEAT CONTROL: a dark, smoked finish that blocks prying eyes and cuts sun glare while rejecting solar heat to keep your interior cooler. Scratch-resistant surface with long-term color stability. - TINT LAWS VARY BY STATE: legal tint darkness (VLT %) differs across US states, and darker films are generally for the rear windshield and rear side windows, not the front. Check your state's VLT limit before installing. - STRONG ADHESION, EASY INSTALL: 2X pressure-sensitive adhesive gives a firm, long-lasting bond. The backing peels easily, the film positions smoothly with soapy water, and the scratch-resistant surface takes squeegee pressure without marking. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07CDD5W6C | | Best Sellers Rank | #45,999 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #28 in Automotive Sun Protection Window Tints #39 in Automobile Window Tinting Kits | | Brand | BLACKGLASS IX | | Brand Name | BLACKGLASS IX | | Color | 15% Vlt Dark Smoke | | Customer Reviews | 3.9 out of 5 stars 985 Reviews | | Installation Type | Peel & Stick | | Item Dimensions L x W | 236"L x 25"W | | Item Highlight | BLACKGLASS IX Scratch-Resistant Privacy Tinting, UV Block, Strong Adhesive, DIY-Friendly, for Rear Windows, Home and Office | | Manufacturer | BLACKGLASS IX | | Manufacturer Part Number | BG0220L | | Material | Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) | | Material Type | Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) | | Model Number | BG0220L | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Product Dimensions | 236"L x 25"W | | Size | 20ft x 2ft | | Ultraviolet Light Protection | Yes | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** BLACKGLASS IX - **Color:** 15% Vlt Dark Smoke - **Installation Type:** Peel & Stick - **Material:** Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Number of Packs:** 1 - **Product Dimensions:** 236"L x 25"W - **Size:** 20ft x 2ft - **Ultraviolet Light Protection:** Yes ## Images ![Car Window Tint Film 15% VLT Dark Smoke 2-Ply Solar 19.7ft x 25.6in Roll - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61ZBe7bITKL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Why does your window tinting film not include any installation tools?** A: Professional film must be installed with professional tools. We recommend you purchase a window tinting tool kit along with our film to get the best possible finish. Including a cheap blade & scraper with our film would not enable a perfect finish. **Q: Which film grade is the darkest? 5% or 70%?** A: The darkest film is 5% Limo Black and the lightest film is 70% Light Smoke. The percentage refers to the amount of visible light transmitted (VLT). 5% VLT Limo Black film transmits only 5% of visible light through the film. **Q: I have never tinted a window before. How hard is it?** A: Tinting a window with a professional finish is not an easy task. Much like decorating, it requires patience, good weather and excellent preparation. Following the included instructions and taking your time will give you the best finish possible. **Q: Why can I see through the film so clearly from the inside of my vehicle?** A: Window tinting film has one-way visibility. If installed correctly, it reduces the visibility from the outside to the inside of the car. From the inside looking out, sun glare is reduced, but visibility is still high so you can see what's outside. **Q: Can I use your film to tint the windows in my house?** A: Yes, you can, but not to darken a room. You can use our film to give privacy from outside in and reduce the sun glare, but it will not make the room noticeably darker inside. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality, works well *by J***E on October 31, 2025* Film is thick and seems durable so far, looks great ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ looks good *by R***G on March 15, 2026* looks great ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product and easy to install *by T***N on April 16, 2026* Good product ## Frequently Bought Together - BLACKGLASS IX® Professional Quality Window Tint Film Tinting Roll for Car, Van & Vehicles (15% VLT, 20ft x 2ft, 2 Ply, Dark Smoke) Solar, Glare and Privacy with Installation Instructions - Luxiv Car Window Tint Application Tools Kit, 9 Pcs Vehicle Glass Protective Film Installing Tool, Squeegee Automotive Film Scrapers --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/664572927-car-window-tint-film-15-vlt-dark-smoke-2-ply](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/664572927-car-window-tint-film-15-vlt-dark-smoke-2-ply) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
